Shanti Travel is now in Kathmandu, Nepal
By 2013, Shanti Travel had opened offices in three Asian countries: India, Sri Lanka and Indonesia. Heralding the new year of 2014, the travel agency will be opening a new office in Kathmandu, Nepal, to enable travelers to discover the best of the Himalayas. So book your travel and trekking in the Himalayas with Shanti Travel Nepal!
Since its inception in New Delhi in 2005, Shanti Travel has always chosen a format of local development, in order to offer travelers in-depth expertise and knowledge of unique terrains. Being locally present in the destinations also guarantees security and flexibility to create tailor made itineraries. Shanti Travel has hired travel designers who create trips from offices in Delhi, Pondicherry, Colombo, Bali and Kathmandu. These experts traveled the roads of Asia before settling in their country of choice.
Local, expert, customized… these three words define Shanti Travel. Traveling from India to Nepal and then on to Bhutan is made possible by our local presence in the first two countries. Our expertise allows us to create tailor-made itineraries that encompass elements of adventure, culture, heritage and nature.
Himalayan Beauty
Earlier, the Shanti Travel headquarters in New Delhi were in charge of proposing dates to travel to Nepal, Bhutan and Tibet. However, with the launch of Shanti Travel’s new office in Kathmandu, it will now be the prerogative of the latest addition to the Shanti Travel family. Kathmandu is a gateway to the three countries of the Himalayas, as neither Bhutan nor Tibet is linked to Europe or North America by direct flights. Nepal, Bhutan and Tibet share the grandeur of the Himalayan Mountains and the beauty of the Buddhist religion that permeates cities, villages and mountains.
Bhutan, the Kingdom of the Thunder Dragon is accessible by air from Delhi and Calcutta, but is of course closer to Kathmandu. A paradise for trekkers and adventure seekers who love to rough it out, Bhutan is also a haven of peace for some travelers who want to relax and visit the stunning Buddhist monasteries.
And what can we say about majestic Tibet? This magnificent country has been in the news for all the wrong reasons, but we at Shanti Travel have taken it upon ourselves to educate and expose travelers to the wonders and sheer beauty of this destination. Deep in the Himalayas, Tibet has fiercely preserved its traditions and culture and latches on to its past grandeur and glory. From Kathmandu, it is easier to make your way to Tibet and we will guide you through the plains and mountains. Subject to strict rules, a trip to Tibet requires the services of a local agency whose knowledge of the country and the political situation makes it easier to create the route.
Finally, Nepal. This country, small in comparison to India, is situated at the foot of the Himalayas. This is the land of mountain lovers, boasting its legendary peaks of the Everest, the Annapurna, Gokyo and many others. Trekkers are likely to go there every year to conquer the challenges of nature. Some roads are still less explored and offer travelers the privilege of unique discoveries. Nepal is not only reserved for trekkers. Curious travelers thirsty for enriching experiences can rediscover Hinduism and Buddhism, walk though random villages in the corners of the Kathmandu Valley, or go on a safari in forests where tigers and leopards still reign.
