Les langues au Sri Lanka

Le Cinghalais et le Tamoul sont les deux langues nationales du Sri Lanka. L’anglais est la langue qui sert de lien entre les communautés de langues différente. Tandis qu’en ville vous rencontrerez beaucoup de Sri Lankais anglophones, ce ne sera pas le cas à la campagne. Lors de vos rencontres, utilisez quelques mots de cinghalais ou de tamoul pour amorcer le contact; les Sri Lankais seront enchantés de vos efforts.
